On August 31, 2009, the "Residential One And Two Family" Electrical Inspector class based on the 2008 code will begin. The class will meet on Monday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. lasting approximately 12 weeks.  This class will not be held on the Labor Day holiday. Upon successful completion of this class, 3.6 CEU credits will be issued by McHenry College. The cost for this class is $75.00 and includes the workbooks, CEU credits, and the instructor. 2008 NEC Code Books will be required and are available for purchase. This class is the first in a series of three coordinated to prepare you to pass the certification tests given by the International Code Council (ICC).  

On January 4, 2010, the "Electrical General Class", which is second in the series of classes, will begin. 3.6 CEU credits will also be issued for this class. The cost for this class is also $75.00 and includes workbook, CEU credits and the instructor.  This 12 week class will be held every Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. lasting approximately 12 weeks.   

Each of these classes will prepare you to take the corresponding ICC certification tests.The tests are available at various computer based testing facilities, and information will be provided. The cost for taking the certification test is not included in the cost of this class.
