Safety Conference 
The 2010 Construction Safety Council Safety Conference at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont was well attended by Local 701 members. There were more than eighty members and contractors that attended the conference. Local 701 was recognized as having the largest group attendance for the conference. Safety is often not a high priority when there have been no accidents, especially in a tight economy when finances are stretched. We want to have our Safety Meetings the day before an accident might occur to discuss prevention and not the day after an accident to try and figure out what went wrong.
